Five performance artists unite on stage in BIG BANG, where dance, music, spoken word, song, costumes, film, and an unknown number of objects come together to explore the path toward a dance piece that hovers on the boundary between musical, cabaret, music video, games, rituals, and pop-punk performance. Choreographer Jenny Larsson wanted to explore, challenge, and reshape the structures and unwritten rules surrounding modern and contemporary dance. Where does the boundary lie for what can truly be called contemporary dance? Or what does that boundary consist of? BIG BANG is an untamed, loud, gritty and playful performance, with one emotion represented by each song being played.
